Spout Design and Spout Length
Spout Design Style
The ALGRTS Brushed Gold Floor Mount Tub Filler features a 360-degree swivel spout design. This allows you to direct the water flow in any direction, which is useful if your tub is not perfectly centered or if you need to rinse the tub walls. In contrast, the ALGRTS Chrome Waterfall Tub Filler uses a fixed waterfall spout design. This creates a wide, smooth sheet of water that spills into the tub. The waterfall style offers a distinct visual aesthetic and a different water pressure feel compared to the swivel option. You choose based on whether you prioritize directional flexibility or a specific visual water effect.
Spout Length
When it comes to the physical reach of the faucet, the ALGRTS Brushed Gold Floor Mount Tub Filler has a length of 35 inches. This provides a generous span over the tub basin. The ALGRTS Chrome Waterfall Tub Filler is slightly shorter at 34.9 inches. While this difference is minimal, it is measurable in the specifications. For most standard freestanding tubs, both lengths will provide adequate clearance. However, if you have a very wide tub and need maximum reach, the brushed gold model offers a tiny advantage in span. The chrome model remains sufficient for typical installations.
Color Finish
The primary visual difference lies in the finish. The ALGRTS Brushed Gold Floor Mount Tub Filler comes in a brushed gold color. This finish adds a warm, luxurious tone to the bathroom decor and is often chosen for contemporary or traditional styles. The ALGRTS Chrome Waterfall Tub Filler features a classic chrome finish. Chrome provides a bright, reflective surface that complements modern and minimalist bathrooms. Both finishes are available in other colors like brushed nickel and matte black, but these specific models differ only in their primary color. Your choice depends on your existing bathroom hardware and design theme.
Construction Material
The ALGRTS Chrome Waterfall Tub Filler explicitly lists its construction materials as stainless steel and brass in its key specs. This indicates a robust build using durable metals for the faucet body and internal components. The ALGRTS Brushed Gold Floor Mount Tub Filler mentions stainless steel in its package contents but does not explicitly list brass in its key specs section, though it notes a sturdy base. Both units include stainless steel hoses and mounting hardware. The explicit mention of brass in the chrome model's specs suggests a clear emphasis on material composition for durability. For the brushed gold model, the material details are less explicitly detailed in the provided specifications.
Weight and Stability
Both faucets are designed with a stable base structure using a sturdy brass base and three expansion bolts for secure installation. The ALGRTS Brushed Gold Floor Mount Tub Filler weighs 6.81 pounds. The ALGRTS Chrome Waterfall Tub Filler is slightly heavier at 6.99 pounds. This small weight difference is unlikely to impact the stability of the unit significantly, as both rely on the same expansion bolt system for anchoring. The height for both models is identical at 3.27 inches, and the width is nearly the same at 9.84 inches versus 9.85 inches. You can expect similar stability for both units once installed.
Choose the Right ALGRTS Tub Filler
You need flexible water direction
The Brushed Gold model features a 360-degree swivel spout. This allows you to direct the water stream precisely where you need it. If your tub placement varies or you want to rinse specific areas, this swivel capability offers practical utility that the fixed waterfall design cannot match.
You prefer a wide water curtain
The Chrome Waterfall model provides a wide, smooth water stream that spills gracefully into the tub. This design creates a tranquil bathing experience with a consistent flow pattern. If you prioritize the visual appeal of a waterfall effect over directional adjustability, this fixed spout design suits your preference.
You want brushed gold finish
This profile focuses on aesthetic preference. The Brushed Gold finish offers a warm, modern look that complements contemporary or minimalist bathroom decor. If your design scheme relies on gold accents, this specific color option ensures the fixture integrates seamlessly with your existing bathroom hardware and style choices.
You prefer classic chrome finish
The Chrome finish provides a classic, reflective surface that fits traditional or modern bathrooms. If you prefer a cooler tone that matches standard plumbing fixtures, this option delivers a clean, bright appearance. The stainless steel construction ensures durability while maintaining this specific visual aesthetic throughout the product lifespan.
