How to Choose the Right Ellas Bubbles Tub
-
Check bathroom dimensions first
Measure your floor space carefully before selecting a model. The top pick, the Ella Big4One, requires a 66-inch length and 33-inch width. This size suits larger bathrooms where you have ample room to move. If your space is tighter, consider the Ella Companion or Tub4Two, which are 60 inches long and 32 inches wide. Ensuring your bathroom fits the tub's footprint prevents installation issues and ensures comfortable access. Always leave extra clearance for the door to open fully.
-
Select the right seat configuration
Decide if you need a single or dual-seater based on your routine. The Ella Big4One features a heated seat, ideal for solo relaxation or targeted comfort. If you often bathe with a partner, the Ella Companion or Tub4Two offer two seats. These models allow shared massage experiences, making them suitable for couples. Consider how many people typically use the tub. A single seat saves space, while dual seats maximize social bathing. Match the configuration to your household's daily habits and preferences.
-
Evaluate massage system types
Look for specific massage technologies that match your therapy needs. The Ella Big4One combines air and hydro systems for extensive foot massage. This dual approach targets different pressure points for comprehensive relief. Other models may offer standard air jets. If you prioritize deep tissue foot therapy, the Big4One is the clear choice. For general relaxation, standard air systems may suffice. Check the product specs to see if hydro jets are included. This distinction affects the intensity and type of massage you receive during your soak.
-
Consider tub weight and floor support
Verify your floor can support the tub's weight when filled. The Ella Big4One weighs 271 pounds empty. The Ella Companion and Tub4Two weigh 220 pounds each. These weights increase significantly when filled with water. Ensure your bathroom floor is structurally sound to handle this load. Heavier tubs often indicate more robust construction. However, lighter models may be easier to install. Always consult a professional if you are unsure about floor strength. Proper support prevents damage to your home and ensures safe usage over time.
-
Review height and accessibility
Check the tub height for ease of entry and exit. The Ella Big4One stands 40 inches tall. The Tub4Two is slightly taller at 42 inches. The Ella Companion is 40 inches tall. Taller tubs may require more bending or stepping. If you have mobility concerns, compare these heights carefully. A lower threshold or step-in design can improve accessibility. Ensure the height aligns with your comfort level. Standing too high can make getting in and out difficult. Match the tub's vertical dimension to your physical needs and bathroom layout.
