The right-door configuration suits specific bathroom layouts. A heated seat and backrest add warmth during the fill cycle. The fast-fill faucet and dual-drain technology aim to reduce wait times. This spec-based look explains how these features work together in practice.

Who it fits
Good fit for
This tub suits users who value quick fill and drain times. The dual-drain system and fast-fill faucet help reduce the wait for a full bath. People who enjoy both air and water massage will appreciate the combined jet array. The right-door placement fits bathrooms where the door swing needs to clear specific fixtures. The heated seat is ideal for those who prefer warmth during the lengthy fill process. It is a solid choice for accessible bathrooms requiring a walk-in design.
Who should skip it
Look at another option if your bathroom layout requires a left-door configuration. This model is specified with a right-side door only. You might also skip this if you prefer a simpler maintenance routine, as the dual systems require regular cleaning. The air and hydro jets need separate controls and purge cycles. If you need a smaller footprint, the 32-inch width may be too large for tight spaces. Check your door width to ensure the tub fits through your entry.
Verdict: The Ella Royal offers a comprehensive massage experience with fast fill and drain capabilities. It is a practical choice for accessible bathrooms that can accommodate its right-door layout.
Key specs explained
Type: Walk-In Tub
This design features a watertight door that seals during use. You step in and close the door before filling the tub. This allows you to enter and exit safely without climbing over a high side. It is ideal for users with limited mobility or balance issues who need a stable, low-entry point.
Length: 52 inches
The interior length provides ample space for your legs to stretch out. This dimension accommodates most adult heights comfortably. When comparing soaking tubs, a 52-inch length ensures you are not cramped. It allows for a relaxed posture without your knees bending sharply against the end of the tub.
Jet Type: Air + Hydro Massage
This tub combines two systems for different sensations. Hydro jets use water pressure for deep muscle targeting. Air jets use bubbles for a broader, soothing surface massage. Having both allows you to choose the intensity. You can switch between the two depending on your soreness level or desired relaxation depth.
Drain Location: Right Door
The drain is positioned on the side of the door. This layout affects how you plan your bathroom space. You must ensure there is clearance on the right side for the door to open and for maintenance access. It is a critical detail for fitting the tub into existing footprints.
Build Quality and Physical Layout
According to the listing, the Ella Royal tub is constructed in a standard white finish. The unit measures 32 inches wide by 52 inches long and stands 35 inches tall. You should note that the empty tub weighs 230 pounds. This substantial mass helps stabilize the unit during operation, reducing movement when the jets activate. The right-door placement defines the entry point, which you must account for when planning your bathroom floor plan.
The interior layout centers around a 24-inch wide seat. The listing confirms this seat includes a heated element, along with a heated backrest. These features are designed to maintain warmth while the tub fills and during your soak. The hydro massage system utilizes ten fixed jets and six adjustable jets. You control the water pressure using an intensity dial. This setup allows you to target specific muscle groups with focused water streams.
Air massage is handled by sixteen strategically placed jets. You manage this system with a three-speed variable push control. The listing also notes an auto-purge function for the air system. This feature cleans the air lines after use. The dual drain technology provides two individually controlled two-inch drains. You operate these with easy-turn levers. This design aims to empty the tub faster than standard gravity drains. The faucet set includes a mounted spout, a pull-out hand shower, and chrome-finished levers.
Setup and everyday use guide
Installation requires connecting the included 5-piece faucet system. The listing specifies two 5-foot supply lines for this process. You will mount the faucet, which features chrome levers for temperature and diverter control. A pull-out hand shower is also part of the fixture. This setup allows you to fill the tub quickly, as the faucet supports up to 18 gallons per minute.
Daily operation begins with closing the watertight door. The unit includes a heated seat and backrest, which activate to provide comfort while the tub fills. You can choose between two massage systems. The air massage uses 16 jets controlled by a 3-speed variable push button. It also features an auto purge function to clean the system after use. The hydro massage utilizes 10 fixed and 6 adjustable jets. You control water intensity with a dedicated dial. An in-line water heater maintains temperature, while a sterilization cycle cleans the water and system.
Draining the tub is handled by Dual Drain Technology. You operate two individually controlled 2-inch drains using easy-to-turn levers. Four 2-inch outlets facilitate rapid gravity drainage. This design aims to empty the tub faster than standard models. You simply adjust the levers to manage the water level and exit the unit once the cycle is complete.
Before You Buy This Tub
You should verify your bathroom layout before purchasing. The right-door drain location means the tub must fit against a wall on that specific side. Measure your space carefully to ensure the 32-inch width and 52-inch length fit comfortably. Check your water pressure, as the fast-fill faucet supports up to 18 gallons per minute. Your plumbing must handle this flow rate without issues. Upkeep involves using the sterilization and auto-purge features regularly. These functions clean the system and water, which is essential for hygiene. The heated seat adds comfort but requires proper electrical access. Compare this model to other walk-in tubs in the 1 options listed here. This unit stands out with its dual massage systems and heated seat. Ensure you need both air and hydro jets before committing. This combination offers distinct relaxation methods but adds complexity to the controls.
