Who it fits
Good fit for
This tub suits households needing a shared bathing solution. The dual seats allow two people to bathe simultaneously, which saves time. The independent foot massage is ideal for users who want leg therapy without filling the entire tub. Heated seats provide comfort during the fill cycle. The walk-in design benefits those with mobility challenges who need easy access. The fast-fill faucet and dual drains help reduce waiting time between uses.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you prefer a single-user experience. This unit is built for two people, which may feel excessive for solo baths. The foot massage system requires specific plumbing connections for its independent pump. If you do not need the dual-seat capacity, you might find the size and features unnecessary. The complex jet systems also require regular maintenance to keep the ozone sterilization and auto purge functions working effectively.
Verdict: This walk-in tub offers a robust dual-seat experience with specialized massage zones. It is best for users who value shared bathing and targeted hydrotherapy features.
Key specs explained
Type: walk-in tub
This design includes a door that seals to hold water, allowing you to enter and exit before filling. This feature is essential for users who struggle with stepping over high tub walls. It offers greater safety and independence compared to standard soaking tubs that require climbing in and out.
Jet Type: Air + Hydro + Foot Massage
You get three distinct massage systems in one unit. Hydro jets use water pressure, air jets use bubbles, and a separate system targets your feet. This variety lets you choose the intensity and type of relief you need. It provides more versatility than tubs offering only one massage method.
Length: 52 inches
The interior length is listed as 52 inches, which affects how comfortably you can stretch your legs. This measurement helps you determine if the tub fits your body size. Compare this to the overall exterior length of 60 inches to understand the space required for installation in your bathroom.
Size: 32" x 60" x 42"
These dimensions define the footprint and capacity of the unit. The 32-inch width allows for two seats, while the 42-inch height indicates the water depth. You must ensure your bathroom floor can support the weight and that there is enough clearance for the door to open fully.
Design and build details
According to the listing, this unit measures 32 inches wide by 60 inches long and 42 inches high. The overall footprint allows for a dual-seat layout within a standard alcove space. The exterior finish is white, which helps the tub blend into most bathroom decors. The unit weighs 220 pounds, indicating a substantial build that requires a floor capable of supporting the weight of the empty tub plus water and users. The model number is TO2SA3260HR, identifying it as a specific configuration within the brand's lineup.
The layout features two distinct seating areas with widths of 19 inches and 22 inches. A heated seat and backrest are included to provide comfort while the tub fills. This design allows two people to soak simultaneously without crowding. The faucet system is a two-piece fast-fill design mounted to the wall. It fills at a rate of up to 16 gallons per minute and includes a pull-out hand shower with a chrome finish. This setup keeps water controls accessible and separate from the jet systems.
Control placement is strategic for ease of use. The air massage uses a three-speed variable push control, while the hydro massage includes an intensity dial. The foot massage has its own independent controls. Dual drain technology features two individually controlled levers for the 2-inch drains. This design ensures you can manage water levels and drainage independently for each seat, enhancing the shared bathing experience.
Setup and everyday use
Installing this walk-in tub requires accounting for its 220-pound weight and 30-inch width. You must ensure your bathroom floor can support the load when filled with water. The unit connects to a standard drain line, but its Dual Drain Technology offers two individually controlled 2-inch drains. These levers allow you to manage water removal efficiently. The fast-fill faucet delivers up to 16 gallons per minute, reducing the time needed to fill the tub for a soak.
Daily operation centers on the separate massage systems. You can activate the air massage using a 3-speed variable push control. This system uses 18 jets and includes an auto-purge function to clean the air channels after use. For hydrotherapy, each seat has nine fixed jets. You adjust the intensity using an in-line dial. The listing notes an in-line water heater is included, which helps maintain comfortable water temperatures during your soak.
A distinct feature is the independent foot massage. It uses eight adjustable jets powered by its own pump. This allows you to receive a calf and foot massage while filling the tub only to seat level. This saves water and reduces fill time. The heated seat and backrest provide comfort as the tub fills. You can also use the pull-out hand shower for rinsing. The ozone sterilization system works automatically to clean the water and internal components, keeping the system hygienic with minimal effort.
Before you buy this tub
You need to verify your bathroom dimensions carefully. The unit is 32 inches wide and 52 inches long. Ensure your space accommodates the door swing and maintenance access. Check your water pressure and electrical capacity. The in-line heater and pumps require specific power sources. You must also consider upkeep. The ozone sterilization and auto purge systems help maintain hygiene, but you should follow the manufacturer’s cleaning schedule for the jets. This model suits households wanting dual seating. If you only need one seat, a smaller single-seat tub might save space. Compare this against standard soaking tubs if you do not need the walk-in door. The heated seats add comfort during the fill cycle. You should plan for the 220-pound weight. Confirm your floor can support the load. This option fits best if you prioritize safety and shared bathing over quick drainage.
Check before you buy
- Verify 32-inch width and 52-inch length fit your bathroom layout.
- Confirm electrical supply supports the in-line heater and dual pumps.
- Check water pressure for the 16 GPM fast-fill faucet.
- Ensure floor supports the 220-pound unit weight when full.
