Who it fits
Good fit for
This tub suits households with ample bathroom space, given its 71-inch length and 48-inch width. It is ideal for couples who want to soak together in a large 110-gallon basin. The dual massage system and temperature maintenance heater appeal to users seeking long, relaxing baths. The included faucet set and handheld shower make installation straightforward for those wanting a complete system without sourcing separate components.
Who should skip it
Readers with smaller bathrooms should look elsewhere, as the 70.9-inch length and 48-inch width require significant floor space. If you prefer a compact soaking experience, the 110-gallon capacity may feel excessive. Users who do not want a complex electronic control system or a heavy 295-pound unit should consider lighter, simpler options. This is not suitable for tight spaces or those who dislike the maintenance of a multi-jet system.
Verdict: This is a spacious, feature-rich option for shared soaking. Its large size and heating capabilities make it a strong choice for dedicated master baths.
Key specs explained for Empava 71
Type: whirlpool
This tub uses a pump to circulate water through nozzles, creating a focused massage rather than just soaking. You get targeted pressure on specific muscle groups. This differs from air tubs that use bubbles. It suits buyers who prefer deep tissue relief over gentle buoyancy. When shopping, compare this to air-only models if you want stronger physical pressure on your back and legs.
Length: 70.9 inches
The tub measures nearly six feet long, providing ample space for taller users. You can stretch out fully without your head hanging off the edge. This length is standard for large soaking tubs but larger than compact alcove units. It benefits users over six feet tall. Check your bathroom dimensions to ensure this length fits your space compared to smaller 60-inch models.
Jet Type: whirlpool, air bubble
You have access to two distinct massage styles in one unit. The whirlpool jets offer concentrated water pressure, while air bubble jets create gentle, full-body effervescence. This dual system lets you switch between intense relief and soothing relaxation. It is ideal for couples with different preferences. Compare this versatility to single-system tubs that only offer one type of jet action.
Soaking Depth: 15 inches
The water level reaches 15 inches, allowing you to submerge your torso and shoulders comfortably. This depth supports a true soaking experience rather than just leg immersion. It is deeper than many standard tubs but shallower than deep soaking models. This suits users who want to relax their upper body while seated. Consider this when comparing to shallower 12-inch depth options.
Water Capacity: 110 gallons
The tub holds 110 gallons of water, requiring a significant volume to fill. This large capacity helps maintain temperature stability for longer soaks. You will need a strong water heater to refill it quickly. It is designed for leisurely baths rather than quick rinses. Compare this to smaller 50-gallon tubs if you have water conservation concerns or limited heating capacity.
Design and Build Details
According to the listing, the Empava 71 PRO Series tub is constructed for a two-person soak. It measures 70.9 inches in length and 48 inches in width. The exterior height is 24.4 inches, while the internal soaking depth reaches approximately 15 inches. This generous footprint accommodates up to 110 gallons of water. The unit weighs 295 pounds, indicating a substantial structure that requires a floor capable of supporting significant static load. You should verify your bathroom floor strength before installation.
The finish is white, providing a neutral look that fits standard bathroom palettes. The control panel is digital, allowing you to manage the whirlpool, air bubbles, temperature maintenance, and chromatherapy lighting. The display shows the water temperature, which helps you monitor heat levels without leaving the tub. The system includes low-water protection to prevent pump damage. Functions automatically shut off after 60 minutes to ensure safety and efficiency.
The layout features a spacious inner basin measuring 38.7 by 36.4 inches. Dual padded headrests are included to support shared comfort. The tub arrives with a complete bathing system, including a tub-mounted faucet set, waterfall filler, and a multi-function handheld shower. This comprehensive package simplifies installation by providing all necessary components. The white acrylic surface is durable and easy to clean, maintaining a fresh appearance between soaks.
Setup and everyday use
Installation requires connecting the tub to your home plumbing and electrical systems. The listing includes a tub-mounted faucet set, a waterfall filler, and a multi-function handheld shower. You also receive dual headrests, a drain, and overflow components. This package reduces the need for separate hardware purchases. The unit weighs 295 pounds, so you need a floor that supports this load. The electrical connection powers the 2790W heater and the massage pumps.
Daily operation centers on the digital control panel. You view the water temperature directly on the screen. The system offers distinct modes for the 12 water jets and 16 air jets. You can run them separately or together. The air jets include four illuminated outlets that change color. The built-in heater maintains water temperature up to 104°F. This feature helps you avoid adding hot water frequently during long soaks.
Safety and maintenance are automated. Low-water protection stops the massage pump if water levels are too low. The massage and bubble functions shut off automatically after 60 minutes. After your soak, you can use the pipe-flushing setting. This directs fresh tap water through the plumbing path to clean the internal system. This step is designed to keep the pipes clear between uses. The controls allow you to manage all these functions without leaving the tub.
Before You Buy This Tub
You need to verify your bathroom layout carefully. The Empava 71 PRO Series measures 70.9 inches long and 48 inches wide. Ensure you have enough floor space for this footprint. You must also check your electrical supply. The unit requires a dedicated circuit for its 2790W heater and 350W air system. Standard household outlets will not suffice. You should plan for regular maintenance to keep the internal pipes clean. The listing notes a dedicated pipe-flushing setting, but you will still need to follow care instructions to prevent buildup in the 110-gallon capacity system. This large two-person whirlpool tub fits best in spacious master baths. It suits you if you prioritize shared soaking and intense massage over compact designs. Compare its size and power needs against smaller one-person models in our guide. If you value deep heat retention and dual massage options, this unit stands out. Just confirm your plumbing and electrical infrastructure can support these demands before ordering.
