Specs and Build Comparison
Material and Build
The SierraSquad 67 is constructed from high-gloss Lucite reinforced with fiberglass. This double-walled build is designed to resist cracking, stains, and fading while enhancing heat retention for longer warm soaks. In contrast, the SierraSquad 59 is crafted from 100% high-gloss premium polymer, identified as acrylic in its key specs. Both materials offer a non-porous surface that is easy to clean and resistant to scratches. The 67-inch model emphasizes warmth retention through its double-wall design, while the 59-inch model highlights its robust structural support and ability to retain a glossy finish over time.
Soaking Depth
Water depth is critical for a relaxing soak. The SierraSquad 67 features a deep soaking design with a specific 17-inch water depth. This allows for full-body immersion and an upright bathing experience with ergonomic lumbar support. The SierraSquad 59 is described as having a wide, deep basin for full-body immersion, but its exact water depth is not listed in the provided specifications. Without a specific measurement for the 59-inch tub, the 67-inch model provides a verified metric for depth, ensuring you know exactly how much water it holds for your relaxation routine.
Overall Length
Length determines how much space the tub occupies and how much room you have to stretch out. The SierraSquad 67 measures 70.5 inches in length, offering a substantial footprint for a spacious soak. The SierraSquad 59 measures 63 inches in length. While both are freestanding, the 67-inch model is significantly longer. If you have a large bathroom and prioritize maximum legroom and elongated soaking space, the 70.5-inch length of the SierraSquad 67 is the clear choice. The 59-inch model is more compact, fitting better in smaller layouts or renovations where space is at a premium.
Weight Capacity
Structural integrity is vital for safety and durability. The SierraSquad 59 explicitly states a load capacity of up to 1000 lbs, supported by its robust acrylic construction. This high capacity ensures stability for daily use by multiple users or larger individuals. The SierraSquad 67 is described as having sturdy construction that supports a high weight capacity, but it does not provide a specific numerical limit in the data. For buyers who prioritize a verified, high poundage rating for peace of mind, the SierraSquad 59 offers a concrete specification that the 67-inch model lacks.
Drainage Components
The drainage systems differ in style and included parts. The SierraSquad 67 comes with a flexible drain hose, a premium matte drain, and a black water bypass. These components are included for quick setup and a specific aesthetic match. The SierraSquad 59 features an integrated anti-flood water bypass and a sleek matte silver drain system. Both tubs are cUPC certified and include the necessary drainage components for installation. The 67-inch model offers a black finish option for the bypass, while the 59-inch model uses matte silver. Your choice may depend on whether you prefer black or silver hardware to match your bathroom fixtures.
