Who it fits
Good fit for
This tub suits homeowners seeking a contemporary freestanding option that fits standard footprints. The 58-gallon capacity and ergonomic, gently sloped design provide comfort for one person. The double-walled construction helps retain water temperature, making it ideal for long soaks. If you prefer a low-maintenance surface that is stain-resistant and easy to clean, this acrylic model with its reinforced fiberglass base offers durability. The included chrome drain and overflow complete the look for modern bathrooms.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you need a tub for two people, as the 58-gallon capacity and 28 3/4-inch width are optimized for single-user soaking. Frequently asked questions
Is the WOODBRIDGE 59" tub suitable for couples?
No, this model is designed for single users. The 59-inch length and 28.8-inch width provide ample space for one person to soak comfortably. The listing explicitly identifies it as best for individuals seeking durable, safe soaking. Sharing this space with a partner would likely feel cramped given the specific interior dimensions.
What is the actual width of the WOODBRIDGE 59" tub?
The exterior width is 28.8 inches. This measurement is crucial for ensuring the tub fits through doorways and hallways during delivery. It also determines the floor space required in your bathroom. The 59-inch length and 27.5-inch height complete the standard freestanding footprint.
Does this acrylic tub require special cleaning products?
You should use non-abrasive cleaners to maintain the high-gloss LUCITE acrylic finish. The double-walled construction with ASHLAND resin and fiberglass provides durability, but harsh chemicals can dull the surface. Regular wiping with mild soap and water is sufficient for routine maintenance of the chrome drain and overflow.
How heavy is the WOODBRIDGE 59" freestanding tub when full?
The reinforced double-wall design supports up to 1000 lbs. This rating includes the weight of the tub itself plus the water and user. You must verify that your bathroom floor can handle this load. The acrylic material is lightweight, but the water volume significantly increases the total weight.
Is the drain included with the WOODBRIDGE 59" tub?
Yes, the package includes a solid chrome brass drain. It also comes with a stainless steel chrome overflow and an installation manual. You do not need to purchase these components separately. The chrome finish matches the tub's aesthetic and ensures a cohesive look in your bathroom.
Can this freestanding tub be installed against a wall?
No, it is designed to stand alone on the floor. You need clearance space around all sides for installation and cleaning. This style suits modern bathrooms where the tub serves as a central visual element. Attaching it to walls would contradict its freestanding nature and void proper usage.
