In this woodbridge 59 acrylic freestanding soaking bathtub review, we look at the WOODBRIDGE B5902-C. It is a white, freestanding soaking tub designed for comfort and durability. The two specs that define this model are its 58-gallon water capacity and its 14.5-inch soaking depth. These figures suggest a deep, immersive experience for bathers. The tub is constructed from high-gloss acrylic reinforced with resin and fiberglass. It also features a stainless steel base that supports up to 1,000 lbs. We will examine how these specifications translate to daily use and whether the dimensions fit your bathroom layout.
What stands out
- 58-gallon water capacity allows for a deep, full-body soak.
- 14.5-inch soaking depth provides significant immersion without requiring excessive vertical space.
- Non-slip textured surface meets ASTM standards for added safety in the tub.
- Stainless steel base supports up to 1,000 lbs, ensuring stability for one or two bathers.
Who it fits
Good fit for
This tub suits homeowners who prioritize deep soaking over quick rinses. The 58-gallon capacity and 14.5-inch depth are ideal for those who enjoy long, relaxing baths. Its freestanding design fits well in modern or minimalist bathrooms where a standalone fixture is desired. The durable acrylic construction and non-slip surface make it a practical choice for families or individuals who want a safe, low-maintenance option. If you have the floor space for a 59-inch length, this model offers a premium soaking experience.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you have a small bathroom. The exterior dimensions are 59 inches long by 28.8 inches wide, which requires significant floor space. If you need a compact tub for a tight powder room or small ensuite, this freestanding unit will likely not fit. Additionally, if you prefer a shallower soak for quick cleans, the 14.5-inch depth may be deeper than necessary. Ensure your bathroom layout can accommodate these substantial exterior measurements before purchasing.
Verdict: The WOODBRIDGE 59-inch tub is a solid choice for those seeking a deep, durable soaking experience in a freestanding format. Its generous capacity and safe, non-slip surface make it a practical centerpiece for larger bathrooms.
Key specs explained
Material: Acrylic
This tub uses high-gloss LUCITE acrylic reinforced with resin and fiberglass. This combination creates a durable surface that resists stains and scratches. You benefit from a smooth finish that is easy to clean and maintains its bright white appearance over time. When shopping, look for acrylic construction to ensure a lightweight yet sturdy tub that retains heat better than thinner materials.
Soaking Depth: 14-1/2 inches
The water depth reaches 14.5 inches to the overflow. This allows you to submerge most of your body for a relaxing soak. Deeper tubs generally offer better immersion than standard shallow models. If you prefer full-body coverage for stress relief, this depth is a practical choice. Compare this measurement with other soaking tubs to ensure it meets your comfort preferences for water level.
Water Capacity: 58 Gallons
The effective capacity holds 58 gallons of water. This volume supports a comfortable soak for one or two people. It also helps maintain water temperature longer due to the double-wall construction. When comparing models, a higher gallon count often indicates a larger, more immersive experience. This capacity is suitable for those who want a substantial bath without excessive water usage.
Type: Freestanding Soaking Bathtub
This is a freestanding unit, meaning it does not attach to walls. You can place it anywhere in the bathroom with access to plumbing. This style offers design flexibility and a standalone aesthetic. Unlike alcove tubs, it requires floor space and clearance on all sides. Choose this type if you want a central focal point or have an open bathroom layout.
Length: 59 inches

The interior length is 40-1/8 inches, allowing most adults to stretch out comfortably. When measuring your space, ensure you have enough room for this length plus clearance for installation.
