Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this tub if you need a spacious freestanding option that fits standard bathroom footprints. The 71-inch length accommodates taller users or couples seeking a shared soak. The durable acrylic and fiberglass build suits those who want low maintenance and long-term reliability. If you prefer a contemporary look with brushed gold hardware, this model delivers that aesthetic without requiring complex installation. The robust weight capacity ensures safety for heavy use.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you have limited bathroom space, as the 71-inch length requires a significant footprint. You might prefer a smaller 59-inch or 54-inch model if your room is compact. Those seeking a built-in tub will find this freestanding design unsuitable for their layout. If you dislike the brushed gold finish, note that other color options exist but this specific listing features that hardware. Additionally, if you need a tub with integrated jets or advanced features, this simple soaking tub may not meet your expectations.
Verdict: This tub offers solid construction and ample space for a relaxing soak. It is a practical choice for bathrooms that can accommodate its large dimensions.
Key specs explained for this tub
Type: freestanding soaking
This design stands alone on the floor, allowing you to view it from all angles. It does not need to attach to walls, which gives you more flexibility in bathroom layout. The soaking style prioritizes deep water immersion over jet massage, making it ideal for quiet relaxation rather than hydrotherapy.
Length: 71 in
At 71 inches long, this tub accommodates taller users who need extra legroom. It is larger than standard 60-inch models, so you must ensure your bathroom has sufficient floor space. This length allows for a full stretch, enhancing comfort during long baths compared to shorter, more compact tub options.
Width: 31.5 inches
A width of 31.5 inches provides a generous seating area, allowing you to sit comfortably without feeling cramped. This width supports one or two people, depending on body size. It is wider than many narrow soaking tubs, offering a more stable and spacious experience for extended soaking sessions.
Material: acrylic
Acrylic is a lightweight, durable plastic that holds heat well, keeping your bathwater warm for longer. It features a smooth, glossy finish that resists stains and scratches, making cleaning easier than with porous materials. This material is also less prone to chipping compared to older enamel or cast iron options.
Design and build details
The listing states the tub is made from high-gloss white Lucite acrylic. This material is reinforced with ashland resin and fiberglass. According to the listing, this combination provides a durable shell that resists stains and scratches. The double-walled design helps retain water temperature. You get a solid brass brushed gold drain and a stainless steel brushed gold overflow. These components add a warm metallic contrast to the white surface.
The exterior dimensions are 71 inches long by 31.5 inches wide and 22.9 inches deep. The unit weighs 111 pounds. This substantial weight, combined with a stainless steel bracket, supports a capacity of up to 1000 pounds. The gentle sloping lines follow natural body curves. This shape allows for comfortable soaking for one or two people. The freestanding style means you can place it anywhere in your bathroom without wall attachments.
The brushed gold finish on the drain and overflow is a key visual element. It is available in other finishes like chrome or matte black in variations. The 71-inch length requires a dedicated floor space. You need to ensure your bathroom layout can accommodate this footprint. The design prioritizes a chic, contemporary look. The easy-clean surface maintains its high gloss over time. This makes daily maintenance straightforward for you.
Setup And Daily Use Guide
Setting up this woodbridge soaking tub requires careful planning due to its substantial weight and dimensions. The listing notes the unit weighs 111 pounds. You must ensure your floor can support this load, especially when filled with water and occupied by one or two people. The stainless steel bracket at the bottom supports up to 1000 pounds, but proper floor reinforcement is still necessary for safety. The freestanding design means you do not need to attach the tub to walls. This gives you flexibility in positioning it within your bathroom layout. You will need to connect the included solid brass brushed gold drain and stainless steel overflow. These components are part of the package, so you do not need to source them separately. Daily use involves filling the tub with water. The double-walled construction helps maintain water temperature longer, which is practical for extended soaks. The acrylic surface is described as stain and scratch resistant. This means you can clean it easily without worrying about damaging the high-gloss finish. The gentle slopes are designed to follow body curves, providing comfort during use. You should follow the user manual for installation steps. The listing includes a one-year limited warranty for defects in material and workmanship. US-based support is available for any queries. This setup process ensures the tub remains stable and functional for years. The durable materials and reinforced design contribute to long-term reliability. You can enjoy the luxury of a freestanding tub without complex wall mounting requirements.
Before You Buy This Tub
You need to verify your drain compatibility before ordering. This model includes a brushed gold drain and overflow. If your plumbing uses chrome or matte black fixtures, you may need to purchase separate fittings to match your bathroom aesthetic. The tub holds water for deep soaking. You must ensure your floor joists can support the 111-pound empty weight plus the water and two bathers. The double-walled acrylic construction retains heat well, so you will spend less time reheating. Cleaning is straightforward due to the stain-resistant surface. You only need mild soap and a soft cloth. This 71-inch unit fits most standard bathrooms but check your layout carefully. It is larger than the 54-inch or 59-inch variations. Choose this if you prioritize space and durability over compact designs. Verify your door width for delivery as well. The carton is large and firm. Plan your path carefully to avoid damage during move-in.
