Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this tub if you want a complete bathing setup without hunting for separate fixtures. The 55-gallon capacity suits those who prefer deep, immersive soaks. The 59-inch length fits standard bathrooms while offering ample space. The black exterior with a white interior creates a striking visual contrast. The acrylic construction is reinforced with ashland resin and fiberglass for durability. If you like the clawfoot aesthetic but want modern materials, this package delivers both style and function in one box.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you need a tub that fits into a tight alcove. This is a freestanding clawfoot model, so it requires floor space and clearance on all sides. The 59-inch length and 28.4-inch width demand a reasonably large bathroom footprint. If you prefer a built-in or drop-in installation, this unit is not suitable. Additionally, if you dislike the black exterior or gold hardware accents, you will be stuck with that color scheme. The package is all-inclusive, so you cannot swap the faucet for a different finish.
Verdict: This package offers a complete, stylish soaking solution with durable acrylic construction. It is best for buyers who value convenience and a bold visual statement.
Key specs explained
Length: 59 inches
This length provides ample seating for most adults. It fits well in standard bathrooms without dominating the floor plan. You get enough room to stretch out your legs fully. Compare this to smaller 54-inch tubs if you have tight space constraints, or larger 60-inch models if you prioritize extra legroom. This size balances comfort with spatial efficiency.
Water Capacity: 55 Gallons
A 55-gallon capacity holds a substantial volume of water. This allows for deep soaking sessions that maintain heat longer than smaller tubs. You can submerge your body fully without the water level dropping too quickly. Check this spec against shallower models to ensure you get the immersion depth you desire for a relaxing bath experience.
Material: Acrylic
Acrylic is a durable, lightweight plastic that retains heat well. It is easy to clean and resistant to chipping or cracking. This material feels smooth against your skin and maintains its glossy finish over time. Compare it to cast iron, which is heavier but also holds heat, or fiberglass, which is lighter but less rigid.
Mount Type: Freestanding
Freestanding tubs stand independently on the floor and do not require surrounding walls for support. This offers design flexibility, allowing you to place the tub in the center of a room or against a wall. You need access to plumbing from the floor or a nearby wall. This style suits modern or classic bathrooms seeking a statement piece.
Design and build details
The listing specifies the tub is constructed from 100% high gloss black Lucite acrylic. This material is reinforced with Ashland resin and fiberglass. These are described as top-quality materials that are rarely used by other brands due to their higher cost. The exterior is finished in black, while the interior is white. This two-tone design creates a sharp visual contrast. You will see polished gold feet and a matching brass drain and overflow. These hardware pieces are included in the package. The solid carton box used for transport suggests the manufacturer prioritizes protection during shipping. The item package weight is 132.0 pounds. This weight indicates a sturdy build that can hold water securely.
The overall dimensions are 59 inches long, 28 3/8 inches wide, and 29 1/2 inches deep. According to the listing, the effective tub capacity is 55 gallons. This volume allows for full immersion. The gently sloping lines are designed to follow the natural curves of your body. This layout provides exceptional comfort for soaking. The freestanding clawfoot style means you do not need wall support for installation. It sits independently on the floor. The polished gold feet elevate the tub slightly. This style fits a variety of spaces. You can place it in the center of a bathroom or against a wall. The ample size makes it economical for larger rooms. The chic style adds a luxury feel to the space. You get a complete package with the faucet included. This simplifies the setup process. You do not need to search for matching hardware separately. The design focuses on comfort and visual appeal.
Setup and everyday use notes
The listing describes this unit as an all-inclusive package. This means the freestanding faucet, drain, and overflow come with the tub. You do not need to source separate hardware for basic installation. The package includes polished gold feet and brass drain components. These parts attach to the black acrylic shell. The tub itself is heavy. The package weighs 132 pounds. You will need assistance to move it into place. The dimensions are 59 inches long, 28.4 inches wide, and 29.5 inches high. Ensure your bathroom floor can support this weight. The clawfoot design requires a clear floor space around it. It does not attach to walls. The interior is white, which contrasts with the black exterior. This color scheme affects how you see the water and any residues. The 55-gallon water capacity determines how much water you use per fill. This volume requires a faucet that can handle that flow rate. The included faucet is part of the bundle. You should verify its flow specifications if you have specific pressure needs. The acrylic material is reinforced with resin and fiberglass. This construction aims to provide rigidity. You should follow the manual for cleaning to maintain the high gloss finish. Avoid abrasive tools that might scratch the surface. The gentle sloping lines are designed for body support. This shape influences how you sit during a soak. The packaging is described as extremely solid with a firm carton box. This suggests the tub arrives protected. You should inspect the unit immediately upon unpacking for any transit damage before proceeding with installation.
Before You Buy This Tub
You should verify your bathroom floor can support the listed package weight of 132 pounds. The tub itself is heavy, and filled with 55 gallons of water, the total load increases significantly. Ensure your subfloor is reinforced to handle this static weight. Check that your plumbing supply lines align with the included freestanding faucet. The package includes polished gold feet and brass drain hardware, so you do not need to buy these separately. However, you may need flexible supply lines if your existing pipes are rigid. Clean the high gloss black acrylic with non-abrasive cleaners to maintain the finish. Avoid harsh chemicals that could dull the Lucite surface. This model stands out for its all-inclusive nature compared to other soaking tubs that require separate faucet purchases. It offers a complete solution if you want a coordinated look without sourcing individual parts. Compare its 59-inch length against your available space to ensure proper clearance for installation and maintenance access.
Check before you buy
