Our top pick: Woodbridge 71 in Freestanding Soaking Tub.
How these tubs compare to the BTA1517
WOODBRIDGE 71" Freestanding Soaking Tub
This model shares the 71-inch length but drops in height to 22.9 inches, offering a lower profile than the BTA1517’s 28-inch frame. It retains the double-wall acrylic construction for heat retention but features an oil-rubbed bronze finish instead of white. The width is slightly narrower at 31.5 inches compared to the BTA1517’s 35-inch width. You should choose this if you prefer a darker aesthetic and a lower center of gravity. It lacks the extra width of the original, which may affect comfort for two bathers. The weight is nearly identical at 111 pounds. This option suits large bathrooms where you want a two-person soak with a distinct, dark finish.
Empava 59 Inch Freestanding Tub
The Empava 59-inch tub is significantly shorter than the 71-inch BTA1517, making it a better fit for compact bathrooms. It stands taller at 26.8 inches, which may offer a deeper soak relative to its length, though the water capacity is not specified. The width is 29.5 inches, narrower than the original’s 35-inch span. Weighing only 66.1 pounds, it is much lighter and easier to install. This tub features a white acrylic finish and an anti-slip bottom. You should pick this if space is limited but you still want deep soaking capabilities. It sacrifices the expansive length of the BTA1517 for a more manageable footprint. The narrower width may be less comfortable for taller users.
WOODBRIDGE 59" Matte Black Freestanding Tub
This 59-inch matte black tub is 12 inches shorter than the BTA1517, reducing its overall footprint significantly. It matches the original’s width at 31.5 inches but sits lower at 22.9 inches in height. The matte black finish offers a modern contrast to the BTA1517’s white surface. Weighing 88 pounds, it is lighter than the original. This model is ideal for small bathrooms where a 71-inch tub would not fit. You give up the deep soaking length of the BTA1517 but gain a sleek, dark aesthetic. The acrylic construction is durable, but the shorter length limits stretch-out space. Choose this if you prioritize style and compact size over maximum soaking depth.
WOODBRIDGE 59" Acrylic Freestanding Tub
The Woodbridge 59-inch matte black tub is shorter than the BTA1517 but offers a 55-gallon capacity, slightly less than the original’s 60 gallons. It is narrower at 28.8 inches compared to the BTA1517’s 35-inch width. The height is 27.5 inches, very close to the original’s 28-inch profile. Weighing 75 pounds, it is significantly lighter. This tub features a matte black finish and reinforced acrylic construction. You should consider this if you want a Woodbridge product with a darker look and a smaller footprint. The reduced width and length make it suitable for tighter spaces. It lacks the expansive soaking area of the BTA1517 but offers similar durability in a more compact form.
FerdY Tahiti 55" Acrylic Freestanding Tub
The FerdY Tahiti 55-inch tub is 16 inches shorter than the BTA1517, making it a clear choice for small bathrooms. It is narrower at 30.9 inches and lower at 23.4 inches. The brushed nickel drain matches some BTA1517 variations, but the tub itself is acrylic. Weighing 72.8 pounds, it is much lighter than the original. This model focuses on deep soaking within a compact frame. You should pick this if you have limited floor space but still want a freestanding tub. The shorter length means less room to stretch out. The lower height may be easier to enter and exit. It sacrifices the grand scale of the BTA1517 for practicality in smaller rooms.
WOODBRIDGE 67" Matte Black Acrylic Tub
This 67-inch matte black tub is 4 inches shorter than the BTA1517 but stands taller at 28.8 inches. It is narrower at 28.3 inches compared to the original’s 35-inch width. The matte black finish and hardware provide a distinct look. Weighing 84 pounds, it is lighter than the BTA1517. The reinforced acrylic construction supports up to 1,000 pounds, matching the original’s durability. You should choose this if you want a darker aesthetic and a slightly more compact length. The narrower width may be less comfortable for two bathers. It offers a strong alternative for buyers who prefer matte black accents and a sturdy build in a slightly smaller footprint.
